Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends!  It was a relaxing day with yummy food! 

Tomorrow will be busy with me working on Black Friday!  I am sure it will be hecktic.

Giggles

It is the simple things in life that are so wonderful.  Kendra loves socks and shoes.  This morning when I was putting Kendra's socks on she was having the best time.  She giggled everytime I tried to pull the sock on her foot.  I love it when we can be silly, snuggle and giggle together.  It makes all the times when things are not so fun worth all the effort. 

Time is flying by and I wish I could slow it down!

How is it that my little one is now a year old?  She is walking and trying to talk.  I love when she dances.  She cracks me up!

The holidays are quickly upon us and will be gone before I know it.  I have been planning on what I want to bake over the holidays.  I love to bake and whats more I love to eat what I bake.  Amazing that I can't seem to figure out why I never lose weight.  I can only figure that I adore yummy food. 

I made the pumpkin bread last week!  Next will be a pumpkin creme caramel dessert recipe that I have been eyeing for weeks in Good Housekeeping.  In mid December I plan on making some wonderful and fun to make cookies.  For many years as a child my Grandma Mary let me design all the christmas cookies for the whole family.  Sometimes you weren't sure what the cookie was.  Maybe a tree, possibly a bell I am sure nobody really cared.  I hope to carry that tradition along to my little Kendra in a few years when she can help. 

I am finally going to be employed again.  I was offered a job with Target and Williams Sonoma.  I took the practical discount and am going to work at Target.  I am sure that I would have loved working at classy Williams Sonoma but I had to choose what was more practical for my family.  The job is seasonal and I hope that they will keep me on after the holidays.  Time will tell as with most things in life.
